Welcome to the FE21 Office Page. We hope you enjoy your stay.
First floor (second floor to the Americans out there), East side, room 21 (explanation here). The developers originally intended to give it the name 1.096, as evidenced on the first floor-plan, but sanity prevailed.
Keith Wansbrough, Research Associate, Andrei Serjantov, PhD Student, and Steven Bishop, Research Assistant.
We have some photographs of the office when it was young.
We also have some photographs of the building in which it lives, when it too was young.
A web cam on the building site of the New Computer Laboratory building.
The West Cambridge Master Plan site may be of interest; we are building 8 on the site plan.
There is a collection of maps of the new building; we are of course on the first floor.
To get to the New Computer Laboratory, follow these directions.
You can see an aerial photo of the site here; just in case they update their database, here is a cached version from 24 July, 2001 (image taken much earlier, before any construction began).
We have a splendid view out towards Cambridge, past the Microsoft Research building and directly through the space which at one time was going to be filled by the Marconi building (recent reports suggest that Marconi's financial troubles will cause it not to build the building they originally intended). Again, photographs are available.
``Farewell, faithful office'' we cried, as we left T71 on Tuesday, 21 August, 2001, to move to FE21. We have some photographs commemorating the old office.
Here are some other (local) links of interest.
