The wedding motif is our own design. The outer ring is based on a New Zealand Māori design used on the rafters of traditional meeting houses. The design is the pātiki (flounder), and symbolises hospitality. The inner knot is a Celtic cord of three strands. It symbolises the threefold marriage relationship between husband, wife, and God (Ecclesiastes 4:12).
