Aidan turned 10 months yesterday. He's a very happy boy, and he's doing some very impressive things. He has started to walk with his Stride to Ride walker (although it still surprises him when it moves!), and to stand on his own (until he realises he's doing it). We can sometimes convince him to go safely down the stairs (backwards) as well as up. He is learning to put objects into holes: blocks into his toy giraffe and balls into the hopper on his walker (see below). One of his favourite games is playing peek-a-boo, especially with his towel, and recently he's begun to instigate this himself.

He's talking much more than he used to, and with a wider variety of "words"; he's more accurate with "Ma ma ma" and "Da da da"; he's showing signs of understanding a few words such as "milk" and "nappy"; and he distinctly said "hello" to Daddy when he came home on Friday evening!

Aidan went to the gym (TumbleTots) for the first time last week, and enjoyed it very much. He's also enjoying swimming at the local pools each Saturday with Mummy and Daddy - he particularly loves the (baby-sized) waterslides.

Aidan is finally learning to sleep right through the night. We've spent the last week teaching him to do this, with considerable success (thanks Tracy Hogg), although we're not quite there yet.

Standing on my own (almost). I'm just holding on to one of Daddy's fingers. Sometimes I get distracted and let go; then I notice I'm not holding on to anything and sit down before I fall over.

Walking with my walker. I've been walking for ages holding on to Mummy and Daddy's hands; it's quite different doing it independently. And how do you steer this thing??
