Aidan is now fifteen weeks old. Over the last several weeks he's been putting a lot of effort into trying to roll over, and on Sunday 19 October he finally managed it! His many attempts are not always successful, but he's continuing to practice regularly - Greek-style, every night he does his athletics in his nappy-free time on a towel on the floor.

He's also had his second set of vaccinations - unlike last time, these made him quite unhappy for several days :-( . He continues to put on plenty of weight.

On Saturday (11 Oct) we took Aidan to Sandringham. It was a beautiful autumn day, and the gardens were lovely. We decided to get Aidan's neck muscles in practice for NZ, and put him in the baby carrier facing forward for the very first time. He loved being up high and seeing what big people see; he stayed there for half an hour.

Aidan isn't always happy :-( .

Aidan trying to roll over. He put a lot of time and effort into this, but he faced two big problems: (i) his arm kept getting in the way, and (ii) he kept having to suck his thumb! (Sun 12 Oct).

Aidan visits Daddy's room in college. He seems to spend a lot of time here - it's very convenient having somewhere to play and feed and change in the middle of town (Wed 15 Oct).

On Thursday 16 Oct, Aidan finally outgrew his Moses basket. He now sleeps in the travel cot - you can see how much more room he has, and he certainly enjoys spreading out. (Fri 17 Oct).

Around 3pm on Sunday 19 October Aidan finally succeeded in his attempts to roll over from his back to his front! He was a bit surprised the first time he did it, but repeated it several more times.
