I'm now twenty-two months old! This has been a really fun month with visits to and from Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Jonathan, and going to the Botanic Gardens and Deep Sea World (where I got to touch a lizard and watch it being fed, and spent most of the rest of my time jumping on and off the conveyor belt!). I also started going to a new playgroup and new swimming lessons, in addition to all my usual activities.

I've been practising crossing the road: standing on the edge of the kerb (where the 'kerb' might be the step in the back garden at home or the edge of the platform at Deep Sea World), and wiggling my head from side to side to check for cars, before stepping off! I also discovered how much fun it is to come down a slide headfirst on my tummy. I love going down slides at the moment.

I'm getting better and better at putting sentences together now (up to three or four words long), and even managed to surprise Mummy and Daddy by saying "Bless you Mummy" when Mummy sneezed! I love to talk to people on the phone, and will bring Mummy the phone and ask her to phone Daddy (or someone else) when I want to speak to them.

One of my favourite activities is singing. My current repetoire includes "Twinkle twinkle little star"; The Alphabet Song; "Baa Baa Black Sheep"; "Happy Birthday to you"; "The Wheels on the Bus"; "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes"; "Row row row your boat" and "Old MacDonald Had A Farm".

Playing golf. Grandma bought me my first set of golf clubs recently - they are great fun to play with, but I don't think I'm ready to play on the real golf course just yet!

My new drum! Isn't this great? Now I can make lots of noise.
