We spent Christmas with Aidan's grandparents in Scotland. It was an exciting couple of weeks - not just because it was Aidan's first Christmas and first Hogmanay, but also developmentally. Aidan sat in the dining room with us at dinner in his bouncy chair, and he decided he wanted to be mobile: so he flapped his arms and bounced his chair, and made it shuffle along the floor! He learned to move quite fast this way. He also started on "solid" food at last - puréed apple and baby rice at first, although he soon moved on to (slightly) more exciting fare. On our return home, Aidan graduated to 6-9 month clothes.

I spent a lot of time in my door bouncer while I was in Scotland. Mostly, I was trying to grab hold of Grandpa's yummy(?!) plant.

On Monday 22nd, I finally got to taste what all the fuss was about. I chewed on a piece of raw apple, and then decided to have the rest puréed. After that, there was no stopping me - this is me having some baby rice on Tuesday evening.
