Aidan is two years old!! He's been enjoying learning and playing and getting into mischief this month, and he's certainly kept Mummy and Daddy on their toes!
Daddy went to Crete with work for a few days, so Mummy took Aidan to visit Grandma and Grandpa in Scotland for a week. Daddy joined them at the end of the week, so he and Mummy could go house hunting. The big exciting news is that we found our new house, and we will be moving to Scotland in early September!
Aidan loves to drive his little car and go exploring round the house and the neighbourhood (both at home, and at Grandma and Grandpa's). Another favourite activity is singing - most of what he sings is completely recognisable, and he's starting to get word perfect on many of his favourite songs.
His sentence construction is improving too, including demanding "Mummy get out of bed now"! Whenever he hurts himself, he comes running to Mummy with "bang the head/mouth/fingers/toes/knee" - a kiss usually makes it all better instantaneously! He has also been learning his first person pronouns, saying "I sore" when his bottom was sore because he was teething, and "I got the noise Mummy" upon picking up the blender component (the "noise") of the food processor.
He's becoming increasingly imaginative in his play now - he pretends that the frisbee is a pan, fills it with stones which are "pasta" and puts them in a cardboard box which has become his "oven"!
Swimming is one of Aidan's favourite things, and over the last couple of months he has improved to the point where he can quite happily float/swim around the pool on his own, supported only by a couple of woggles and propelling himself by kicking.
Aidan had a quiet second birthday, but Daddy managed to get home a bit early from work and we went out for Aidan's birthday tea. He had a wonderful time playing on the climbing frame with lots of other children, and then enjoyed opening all his presents and cards when we got home. He went to bed one very tired, but happy, small boy!

| Aidan in his "corner seat". Recently Aidan discovered this place to sit, and named it his "corner seat". No bath is now complete without sitting here for a while - and sometimes sliding off with a splash!
