Aidan is now three years and four months old! He's had a busy month, as usual, with lots of fun activities, seeing friends and visiting some interesting places.
Aidan seems to be enjoying playgroup at the moment - for a while he would spend the journey to playgroup saying "I don't want to go" or "I'm too tired", but more recently he's been talking much more positively about it. He certainly seems to enjoy himself while he's there, and says he's had lots of fun doing all the different activities.
As well as his usual pursuits of playgroup four mornings a week, Pre-5's and Tumbletots, Aidan has seen quite a lot of friends this month, including lunch or coffee with Rachel, Stacey and Becca, Linzi and Adam, and Morag and Iona. He's had a couple of trips to Space Bugs with Gungle, which he still loves to do. He also had lots of fun when his cousins (of varying degrees) David, Neil and Philip came for dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's. He's spent a couple of nights at Grandma and Grandpa's house this month (to allow Mummy and Daddy go out), and also been to Adam's Christening.
We had a wonderful visit to Muiravonside Country Park with Diane and Joshua and Andrew. This included a long (for a 3-year old) muddy walk, and Aidan had a fantastic time! We've been out for several walks more locally too, with Aidan enjoying taking Clarence (his teddy bear) for a walk in his buggy, while Mummy pushed Megan in hers. He also likes to go to the park on his scooter, which he is becoming rather adept at. We've had a couple of fun excursions, one to the Ideal Homes Exhibition and the other to Deep Sea World, both of which he has really enjoyed.
Aidan had a lovely day out with Grandpa and Grandma this month, when they took him by train, underground and bus, to the Glasgow Transport Museum and the Kelvingrove Art Gallery.
Aidan is very much settling down now and beginning to participate really well in both Tumbletots and Sunday School, something we are very pleased about. At Tumbletots recently, he participated in Rollover for GOSH, which is an annual Tumbletots sponsorship event, where they do a forward roll to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital and also the Edinburgh Sick Kids hospital (more info).
Aidan has been improving his computer skills, with his particular favourite being Bob The Builder's "Sunflower Park" game on the Cbeebies website.
For Mummy and Daddy, one of the most exciting events this month was when Aidan decided that he would stay dry at night. So for six nights, beginning on October 29th, Aidan was completely dry each night, and didn't wear pullups. He then reverted back for some as yet, unfathomable, reason - obviously being dry is almost entirely pyschological for Aidan. We're continuing to encourage him and hopefully being a big boy will stop being quite so scary and he'll start being dry again soon.

How tall is that tower? Aidan built the tower without any assistance, and then moved on to examine one of Megan's birthday presents. He loves playing with his Lego, and has since built a very tall tower using almost every piece of Lego we have. |
| Reading the manual. Aidan was engrossed in the manual of his new CD player. | ![]() ![]() Image 0060-2574 Canon PowerShot S45 1/60 sec., f/2.8 2006:10:10 07:21:31 UTC (c) Keith & Carolyn |
