Aidan is four years and nine months old. To read about what we've been up to please check out Megan's two years six months page.

Aidan has been really enjoying playing with some of his friends from nursery - he gets on especially well with Emma, who also goes to his Sunday School class. It's great to see him playing so nicely with her.

He has also had his Maths Bag homework this month (they alternate every six weeks or so between having Maths Bags or going to Mini-tennis). Aidan really enjoys these, and has been learning lots about telling the time, and learning about the concepts of "odd" and "even".

Aidan had another appointment with his ENT consultant and it was finally agreed that Aidan should have grommets put in again. The pain is really affecting him still, and a combination of that and his hearing difficulties have led us to stop going to Mini-kickers, as he was finding the noise (it was in a big echoey hall) too painful for him. It will be great to finally get this resolved and to have him out of pain at long last.

One of the exciting days of this month involved going on a Venus Fly Trap hunt! Aidan has been fascinated with Venus Fly traps since Christmas time and, after a failed attempt to take him to see one, we finally found somewhere they could be seen - namely the Glasgow Botanical Gardens. Both kids had a fantastic day, although I'm not sure that the Venus Fly Traps entirely lived up to Aidan's expectations!

Trapped! Aidan had lots of fun playing in this flooded playground in Inverness.

Aidan and his Mini Pot of Care. To raise money for a charity, Aidan and his nursery class all planted a mini-daffodil last autumn. Now spring, and the daffodil is in bloom, the children all decorated a plant pot cover - Aidan drew a picture using white wax, and then painted it a beautiful rainbow of colours.

Bathroom! For some reason, whenever we go to Homebase or B&Q, Aidan and Megan rush to the bathroom section to explore.

Looking rather handsome. Also, showing off his drawing machine - he found a 1.5V motor in the playground, and with a bit of work we arranged it to spin a piece of notepaper while he drew on it. He carefully put the contraption in a box, and wrote his name on the box lid - see bottom of picture!
