Derek provides consultancy, specialising in Management Coaching, to all areas of business whether it be blue chip organisations, SMEs or voluntary/charitable bodies.

Over the past 4 years Derek has worked with:-

• A variety of organisations delivering Management Coaching and Mentoring (Royal Bank, Boilerhouse Theatre, Gold Corporation)
• Blue chip organisations (Royal Bank, SAIC, etc) to set up Customer Relationship departments
• Direct Marketing campaigns for a wide range of customers (Royal Bank, Quality Scotland, Motech)

In parallel Derek has been involved with:-

• Arts organisations as an advisor/mentor, this being part of the Arts and Business initiatives. The work has included providing sales, marketing and business plans to museums, art galleries, theatre companies and festivals.
• Voluntary and charitable organisations as:-
  • Housing Association Chairman and Committee member
  • Culross Development Trust Chairman
  • Community Council Committee member
  • Children's Panel member

Previously Derek enjoyed a successful career, spanning 25 years, with Xansa, Thus and IBM working as an account manager in business development and new business areas. He was responsible for major accounts in Scotland including Standard Life, Scottish Power, General Accident, Royal Bank of Scotland and Scottish Equitable.

To support the business within these customers Derek led a team of up to 12 people and had management responsibility for these employees.

Doug provides Management Coaching to Executives, specialising in, but not restricted to, companies in the financial services sector. Additionally, Doug provides management consultancy in the area of customer segmentation and management, and business process redesign.

Doug's career with IBM covered a broad spectrum:-

• Managing and delivering the programme of training in how to perform business consulting for IBM employees moving into that area with experience in other parts of the IBM Corporation and for consultants hired into IBM from other consulting firms
• Providing management consulting to companies in the financial services sector such as Norwich Union, Royal & Sun Alliance, Standard Life, Scottish Equitable and many others

In addition to being certified to use the Pharos methodology for Personal Coaching, Doug is also:-

• Certified to teach Coaching methods
• A Charter Member of IBM's Customer Value Management Competency Network
• An IBM Certified Professional as Senior Consultant (recently retired)

Earlier in Doug's 33 year career with IBM, Doug managed the systems engineering team of 12 to 15 specialists responsible for services support (software implementation, training programmes, technical support, etc.) to IBM's Insurance Sector customers in Scotland. Doug also performed a similar role in the Manufacturing Sector for two years. As a systems engineer, Doug led the teams supporting the then Bank of Scotland and the Scottish Office.
