Megan Lindsay McEwan Wansbrough - Megan's Gallery

Megan is now eleven and a half months old!! She's becoming increasingly mobile, and is very much enjoying her weekly activities and meeting friends.

We've been to the park a few times - Megan's favourite park activity is going on the swings,although she likes the slide and bouncy see-saw too. She's really enjoying going to Pre-5's too, where her favourite occupation is trying to crawl up the slides - not a clever thing to do when there are big kids coming down them!! She loves crawling round in the big hall, and playing with the kitchen and the train track.

Megan has really started to enjoy going to Gymbabes - she's certainly increasing in confidence. She love crawling through the tunnel, and some of the other "crawl through" boxes which are set up. She also swung on the monkey bar twice, and seemed very pleased with herself! We also spent some time at the rollers (there are four of these of varying sizes, and the children go over them on their tummy. When they are a bit bigger they will do a forward roll off the last one). She went over the smaller two on her tummy happily enough, and then she started climbing up them, so we took her down all four and she was quite happy. So much so that she proceeded to do it twice more! From needing a lot of encouragement a few weeks ago, she seemed to be having a great time!

She's also very much enjoying SoundStart - the music class we go to on Fridays. Megan loves playing the instruments, and enjoys the dancing and singing. Her favourite part is the "Hello" song though ("Hello Megan, hello Megan, welcome to the Baby Band") - when it's her turn and we sing her name, she sits forward, huge smile on her face and gets very excited!

Megan also had a wonderful time playing at SpaceBugs, the soft play in Linlithgow Leisure Cente. She loved it and had a great time crawling around and playing in the ball pool.

Megan is becoming increasingly vocal at the moment. Most of what she says are not recognisably English words, but they are "pre-words" - it is very obvious that she is trying to communicate with words, but hasn't quite got the hang of forming them yet. She says "iya" (Hiya), "A-da" (Daddy) and "Ta" (Thankyou) at the correct times. She obviously understands much more than she is able to say, and is very interested in all that's going on around her.
