Megan Lindsay McEwan Wansbrough - Megan's Gallery

Megan is now one year and four months old! She is walking most of the time now, and is rapidly becoming a very confident climber. Like her brother, she has an innate sense of caution (usually!) and is very careful to come down from things properly.

Megan is getting on very well at Gymbabes, fearlessly going over rollers, crawling through tunnels, climbing up ladders and walking along balance beams. Grandpa usually takes her to this, something both of them enjoy! At Pre-5's, Megan's favourite activity is climbing up and sliding down the slides, when she's not playing with Lego.

Megan loves playing with her pop-up toys at the moment, and she's also been practising with her wooden shape-sorter, and push-along toys. She's been stacking blocks and building towers 5 or 6 blocks high. Her concentration span is improving, and she frequently brings books for us to read to her.

Megan has enjoyed catching up with lots of friends this month. Jo, Daddy's friend, came to visit again; and we went to Inverness to visit Auntie Elaine and Uncle Chris to see their new extension. We had a lovely day trip up to Brechin to visit Stacey and Becca, and had lots of fun playing when Richard, Claire, Madi, Ju-ju and Ellie came to visit. It was also great to see cousin Jill and her friend Andrew again.

Megan also enjoyed going to "Lunch Bunch" - a lunch club run by the church next to Aidan's playgroup - and we had a very messy lunch there with Diane, Joshua and Andrew (as one might expect going out for lunch with a 16 month old, two three-year olds, and a four-year old!). Megan had a lovely time too when we went to Linzi and Adam's for lunch.

We've been out for some lovely walks around the area, and to the park on a number of occasions, as well as playing in the back garden and playhouse! Megan also had a wonderful time when Mummy and Daddy took her and Aidan to Cadwinkle, a local softplay area.

On the downside, Megan has had a few painful bouts of teething, and another ear infection as she was recovering from a mild cold.

One of the highlights of the month however was going to her first pantomime - The Sleeping Beauty, performed by the Linlithgow Players. Megan loved it! She stood up in her chair and danced and clapped her hands in time to the music, especially enjoying the songs which were sung by the whole cast.
