Megan is now twenty-two months old. It's the summer holidays, and we've had a busy few weeks. Rather than risk boring you with repeating all the exciting things we've been doing, why not check out Aidan's four year one month page... (if it's not there yet, please check back in a few days).
Megan had a wonderful time at the "Northern Meet", where we met several other families from Mummy's baby website - the common link was every family had one little one born in October 2005 and Megan had a great time playing with lots of her age-mates.
Her speech continues to come along nicely, but she's very expressive and usually doesn't need words to communicate precisely what she needs. For example, she was showing Daddy where she wanted him to put her eczema cream on (normally wrists and ankles), but then she wanted him to put some on her cheek and inside her mouth - her second molars (three down, one to go) are still really bothering her at times. It's good to know that the cream does help her skin... we found a more effective solution for the sore teeth!
She can say "Aidan" and "Adam" now, and will go through some of her words books pointing to pictures and correctly naming them.
Megan has lots of fun at Space Bugs and, on the most recent occasion, when she went with Gungle, he was able to teach her how to get up that split-level ramp... there will be no stopping her now!
She's still displaying definite interest in becoming potty-trained, and is becoming more and more aware of what is happening, and she clearly would prefer to give up the nappies, but isn't quite there yet.
Megan loves kisses and cuddles - and will now respond very generously if you ask her for one! But if she feels we're not giving her enough attention, she will grab the side of our face and turn it to face her - and then give a huge grin!
