Megan Lindsay McEwan Wansbrough - Megan's Gallery

Megan is twenty-three months old! As usual, it's been a busy month, but there have been lots of fun times and nice visits too. We had a lovely visit from Lorna and Andrew, and also from Megan's godparents (Auntie Allie and Uncle Ken), during which we also took the children to the Falkirk Wheel - Megan was fascinated watching the Wheel rotate round.

We've been to a number of local (and not so local!) parks this month, both on our own, with Daddy, and with friends. It's been great fun - Megan loved playing in the Giant Sandpit at Kings Park (in Stirling); and she also managed to walk the "long" walk we take at Muiravonside for the first time! We've also been to Parkhill, Space Bugs, Beecraigs, the Heritage Centre in Livingston (Megan loves animals, and she was fascinated by all the animals to be seen here!) and the Five Sisters Zoo (a small, but beautifully laid-out zoo, where both kids had a fantastic time). We also had a lovely visit to Stacey, Alan and Becca up in Brechin, and a fun time at Abbie's second birthday party.

We've had a lot of fun making things - out of playdough occasionally, but also for real - Megan has taken over the fairy cake making from Aidan (she loves to make them, but isn't too fussed about eating them; he loves to eat them, but isn't too fussed about making them!). She enjoyed helping to make, cut out, and dcorate some biscuits; and she was very interested in doing her bit to help us make real butter (from cream, by shaking it in a jam jar!).

As she was saying "bye bye" to Aidan, who was on his way for his first full session in nursery school, Megan actually said "Aidan" correctly for the first time ever! (And then promptly kept repeating it the rest of the way home!)

Despite not being quite two years old yet, Megan has started in the 2-3year old class in Tumbletots - she's doing really well, and is certainly at least as capable as all the other children there (she doesn't do so well with the action songs though, and she needs to work on her ball skills!).
