Megan Lindsay McEwan Wansbrough - Megan's Gallery

Megan is now two years old! It's been good to get back into routine after the school summer holidays this month. That said, we did have a lovely trip away during the bank holiday weekend and, of course, Megan celebrated her second birthday at the end of it.

We've had lots of fun playing with friends, going to the park, and visiting Cadwinkle with Linzi and Adam; aswell as a trip to the Jupiter Urban Wildlife Centre for their open day - the kids loved tramping through the forest, but were a little young for the rest of the activities.

We had a fantastic trip down south catching up with lots of friends this month - lunch with Aidan's godparents, Jason and Sheila, with their children Catherine, Emily and their beautiful new daughter Philippa; a day spent at Twinlakes with lots of Mummy's friends from her baby website (all with little ones Megan's age); then on to Cambridge to catch up with old friends - John and Anne, Adam and Ruth; Matt and Annie, Zadok and Elijah; and a trip to Milton Country Park with James (unfortunately Gayle couldn't join us) and their little boy, Scott (whom we met for the first time). On the way home we stopped in Newcastle for dinner with Jill.

Megan is doing really well at Tumbletots - she has started to particularly enjoy the singing/action songs and is now attempting to join in with the actions - her favourite being lying down pretending to be asleep at the beginning of "When all the cows are sleeping". She also mastered crawling backwards up a ramp, and climbing down a ladder set at a low angle, which many of the other children were unable to do.

One amusing incident this month occured when Mummy was painting nail polish onto Grandma's toenails, and a small foot snaked its way onto her lap.. Mummy gave in and painted Megan's big toenail. Megan then demanded "More more", and sat perfectly while the remainder were done. She loved it and for the next week or so she kept taking her socks off to look at her toes!

We had a lovely visit from Jill and Andrew, and then Auntie Jeanne (who-is-great) came to visit for Megan's birthday. We took her and Aidan to Cadwinkle for for the morning, and then we all went over to Grandma and Grandpa's for Megan's birthday tea and presents. Her birthday party will be at the weekend...
