Megan is now two years and ten months old. It's been the summer holidays this month, so we've been out enjoying as much fresh air as possible! Lots of trips to parks, meeting up with friends, picnics and playing outisde. Megan's been cycling a bit more, and practising scooting, as well as her weekly swimming lesson. She is really enjoying her swimming and is gaining in confidence by the week.
We've had the odd lunch out at the Golf Club, or met friends for coffee at a local cafe on a couple of occasions, but mostly we've been in the park, or out visiting. We've been to the Heritage Centre in Livingston, to Zetland Park, to Edinburgh Zoo on several occasions, to Klondyke, to Briarlands Farm, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
We made our annual trip back to Cambridge during which time we met up with lots of old friends, and some new ones too! On our way home we stayed overnight with Sheila and Jason and the girls - fantastic to catch up with them too!
Most recently, we spent an exciting day out in Edinburgh taking in two shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival - Koko the Crocodile (African Folktales) during which the kids were spellbound, and The Bubble-Ology (by the Amazing Bubble Man) which was all about bubbles with a bit of science thrown in there for good measure. We'd highly recommend both performances if you happen to be in the area!
The holidays are drawing to an end now, and our thoughts are beginning to turn towards starting Primary One (for Aidan), and Megan returning to playgroup, and starting ballet lessons!
