With the end of the Easter holidays, and then the start of the new term, we've had a very busy time! Megan's big news of the month is that, having turned two and a half years old, she is now old enough to go to playgroup (the difference between playgroup and a toddler group is that here the children are left by the parents with the play leaders).

Megan seems to love playgroup! She looked so little - far too little to be leaving her on her own (surely she's not 2½ years old already?!), but she adored it and came home with a painting, a drawing and a picture she'd glued, and when we left her she was playing with playdough. She seems to be revelling in all the fun things she can do there, and she's especially happy that Abbie, one of her little friends goes to the same sessions that she does. Until the summer, Megan will be going for two sessions per week.

Megan has been really enjoying Musical Steps, and spends lots of time singing and doing the actions from the songs we learn there during the rest of the week. She's excelling at Tumbletots and has been invited to move up to the next class (the 3-5y class, which is unaccompanied so Grandpa would be out of a job!) however, with the end of term just weeks away, we've decided not to move her up until after the summer holidays.

After a break of a couple of weeks, we went swimming again and Megan's confidence has really increased - she was very happy to go to the deep end and enjoyed splashing around there, which was great to see.

As with Aidan, Megan really enjoys baking and had a great time helping to bake Uncle Jonathan a birthday cake!
