Megan is now three years old! We've had a very busy time over the last couple of months... including trips to the Edinburgh Festival, Greenbelt, Aidan starting Primary One, and Megan turning three years old!
During the last few weeks of the summer holidays, we were out and about as much as possible - we had another trip to the Edinburgh Festival, this time to see "How the giraffe got its neck" - we would definitely recommend this, both Aidan and Megan were spell-bound! A trip to the Glasgow Science Centre with Grandma and Gungle; and several trips to the zoo, to the park, to Chateaherault Country Park, to Bo'Ness and Kinneil Railway, the golf club for lunch (and for Aidan to practise his golf!), to Calley's Creche, and to a couple of birthday parties!
Our big trip of at the end of the holidays was to Greenbelt, after a five-year hiatus! It was Aidan and Megan's first camping experience, and they loved it! They loved being part of the Greenbelt experience and attending the kid's programme, aswell as just generally wandering around and seeing all there was to be seen.
Megan is going to playgroup four sessions per week now, she goes to one playgroup on a Tuesday and Wednesday, and a different group on a Thursday and Friday - both groups offer different experiences, and she's really enjoying the independence and all the creative opportunities she gets there (we now have a large pile of paintings/drawings/gluings and all sorts :-) ).
Megan continues to enjoy going to Tumbletots, especially now that she has graduated to the 3-5year class, which is unaccompanied by parents (or grandparents in our case!). She started this after the summer (despite not being quite three and has taken to it like a duck to water). She started ballet and Mini-bairns after the summer holidays too. She absolutely adores her ballet class, and enjoys running around and scoring goals at Mini-bairns! She also attends regular swimming lessons now too, and is doing very well.
Megan turned three this month too, and had a lovely birthday party (with friends), and birthday tea (with family) to celebrate. She had a fairy castle birthday cake, which she loved and received lots of lovely presents!
