Megan is now four and a half months old! She is growing up rapidly and we finally decided to move her from her Moses basket into her travel cot (so she can stay with us in our room, the proper cot being in Aidan's room). She didn't like having the extra space just at first, but quickly got used to it!
We had a lovely outing to Loch Lomond at the weekend, and also went to the Breastfeeding Support group run by the local health centre, as well as our usual pursuits. She had her third set of immunisations on Thursday 9th February and was a bit poorly for sometime afterwards - even losing her voice with the cold. But we gradually became aware that perhaps there was something more going on when she continued to be out-of-sorts even when the cold cleared up - a suspicion which was confirmed when her first tooth appeared on Friday 17th February!
Megan really enjoys being in her playgym and loves to examine the hanging toys. She also went into her door bouncer for the first time and had lots of fun, although it took her a while to get the hang of it. Her most favourite occupation at the moment is to pull her socks off and play with her toes!
Megan responded to her name for the first time this fortnight, and she's working hard at learning to crawl. When she's lying on her tummy she practises pulling her knees up into crawling position, and is very good at doing mini-pushups - just not at the same time (just like Aidan at a similar age).
She is becoming aware that not everything is intended to go into her mouth. She likes to examine her chime ball and shake it to make it make sounds, and she can also pass her rattle from one hand to the other. She still loves bathtime and will propel herself from one end to the other, grasp hold of the toy bag and use it to help turn herself around so that she's heading in the opposite direction!
