Megan is now five and a half months old! It's been a nice couple of weeks, being back in the normal routine again after all the excitment of the preceding weeks.
Megan has been enjoying some "Megan and Mummy" time while Aidan is at playgroup. We tried out a great new toddler group in Livingston with Stacey and Becca on March 15th, but sadly it's a bit too far away to go to regularly. We went out for a lovely coffee in Linlithgow with a friend and her little girl too.
We've also been swimming several times, which Megan has loved. She's a real water baby, kicking her legs all the time and not even minding all the splashes she gets when her brother is in the vicinity!
Megan got to experience snow properly for the first time on the 12th March. Daddy took Megan out into the back garden to play in the 20cm of snow that fell the previous night. She was fairly awestruck by the whole experience.
Megan is becoming very confident with her sitting now and can sit for several minutes unsupported. She really loves her nappy-free time each day, and usually employs the time with rolling practise! She's very good at rolling onto her tummy now and, for the first time in weeks, proved she can also roll back again! Another activity she enjoys is her door bouncer. This has been encouraging her to start weight-bearing on her legs, and she's starting to show some interest in standing now.
Megan is looking very cute with her two bottom teeth well through now. All the signs are there just now that would indicate further activity in that department (disturbed sleep, rosy cheeks, bouts of unexplained crying and her eczema has worsened again) but no teeth are yet visible!
Megan loves books and stories. She has several "crinkle" books that she loves to play with and chew on. But she also really enjoys sitting in on Aidan's storytime, and will happily sit and listen to quite long stories. She also enjoys music and has had great fun recently playing the piano - both our 4-key toy one (her face just lights up when we bring it out) and the real one at Grandma and Grandpa's house.
