Megan is now seven months old! She can roll front-to-back and back-to-front; sit up unassisted for long periods of time; stand holding on to us, or something stable, for several minutes; take a few steps holding our hands; feed herself with a spoon; and choose her own toys. Where has our little newborn baby gone? She's growing so quickly and learning and developing new skills all the time.

Megan is very much enjoying her solid foods - she especially enjoys normal food and chews away at most things we give her. Obviously she also eats foods that need to be spoon fed (porridge, rice pudding and so on) and she loves them too, but over the last few days she has been insisting on feeding herself with the spoon.

Megan's third tooth appeared on Saturday but despite the fact we can see the fourth tooth under the surface, it still hasn't cut through. She's also been on her first ever supermarket ride - a "Wheels on the Bus" ride, which she loved.

In other news, we have been swimming, had several friends over for meals, been out for coffee, and toddler group, and celebrated Uncle Jonathan's 30th birthday. But the biggest news of all is that last week was a very quiet week, owing to Aidan waking up on Monday morning looking somewhat spotty - yes, chicken pox has finally descended on our house. The big question is will Megan succumb (or will the immunity she receives from Mummy's milk be enough)? and if so, when? Watch this space...

Standing for the first time! (just like Aidan).

Asleep on Mummy's back. We went for a walk from Polmont to Linlithgow via the Union Canal towpath (pics)- it took about two and a half hours, with Aidan and Megan alternately in the buggy and back carrier.

Making Gungle's birthday card. Megan and Aidan both contributed footprints, which were assembled and stuck onto the card. It was a bit messy, but great fun. PS: Happy 30th birthday Gungle!
